Prepare Your Visual for PowerPointŪ

You can animate your visuals one piece at a time to clearly communicate the entire visual in Microsoft PowerPointŪ. By assigning each item on the Work Area a step number in a sequence of appearance, your audience can understand which part of a visual you're talking about.

Before you send your visual to PowerPoint, think about how you'll present this visual - where you'll start and what things should appear at the same time.

Once you're ready to send your visual to PowerPoint, click the PowerPointŪ tab. Select an item (How?) and click the Step menu button to assign a step number to each item in the Animation group.

If you're presenting a chart, you can use the Chart Preset menu button to automatically animate your chart by series, category, data point and more.

Use the Preview button, along with the Next, Previous and Cancel buttons to preview how your completed animation will appear.

Once satisfied with your animation sequence, ensure you place a check in Include Animation in the Export group of the PowerPointŪ tab. Then click Send to PowerPointŪ to send your visual to PowerPoint with animation included.

If you have an open PowerPoint presentation, your visual is placed on a new slide at the end of the presentation, with animation. Otherwise, a new PowerPoint presentation opens with your visual on the first slide.
